In one week Jodi Robinson and I will hit the road on the Living Jubilee Revival Tour! I am both exhilarated and a little scared at the thought of this impending road trip. 30 days driving, sleeping, eating and sharing the Good News in this 31 foot RV is a lot to take in!
But with every phone call and email from the people we are meeting along the way I am reminded of the vitality and poignancy of this opportunity to do some welcoming and affirming evangelism across this amazing country of ours. There are so many people who have yet to hear that there are welcoming and affirming Baptists in the world. And there are so many churches who don't know that they are not alone in living this ministry of inclusion!
From State College, PA where we will share a meal and the revival program with the community at University Baptist & Brethren Church to Kansas City where Crossroads Church will host our AWAB Day at the ABC-USA Mission Summit, we will surely discover many more W&A Baptists than we knew about before we left. We may also encounter people who are fearful and angry. God's Love is not easy for some people to receive. However, I know that whatever we encounter our home on the range will surely help us feel safe and at ease (even if we do get a little home sick from time to time.)
So stay tuned for more pictures of the camper as we get her ready for the tour! We'll post the great signs we want everyone to autograph as we travel around. We will be posI hope this helps you feel like you are with us along the way. Perhaps I should say "Mi Casa, Su Casa!"
See you on the road!
